The women's conference ended yesterday morning with lots of singing and a review. We gave them one final charge and finished our time together with Fanta and mendazi (a Rwandan treat- similar to a donut without icing). Pray for the women to feel encouraged and empowered as the return to their communities and families.
Yesterday was the first day of working with the students at the primary school in Remera. The team shared the parable of the lost sheep. Today they continue their work in the classrooms, teaching what it means to be "lights of the world" and passed glow sticks out to the children (which, of course, the children loved).
Wayne started his pastor training today. The men were so happy to see him this morning. Praise God for protecting their travels on Monday.
The team continues to do well. We are so proud of each member and their flexibility and willingness to serve in whatever capacity is needed. We praise God for putting this group of people together to serve with us this summer.
Continue to pray for the various ministries we are involved in here.
"...to Him be the glory..."
