Scholarship Program
In Rwanda, students are required to pay fees for public and private schools. Financial support provided for primary and secondary students at two different schools that we have longstanding relationships with. Each student is provided school fees, supplies and a uniform. The cost to sponsor a student, either primary or secondary, is $200 a year.
Church Building Projects
In East Central Africa many government authorities require churches and schools to have permanent roofs in order to be lawful. Even though church members are able to build the mud walls, the cost of a permanent roof, usually corrugated metal, can exceed $1000. Besides the legality, the metal roof provides better weather protection and gives the members and neighbors a sense of stability. One27 Ministries has been able to donate funds for several churches and schools and we continue to partner with building projects in Rwanda.
Micro-economics
In an effort to provide funds for the women of the church, One27 Ministries, Inc. helps establish projects for the women to generate an income. We support several women's groups who are raising goats or pigs to breed and sell. The profits from these projects goes to help women in the church.
Pastor Support
Financial support is provided for individuals currently serving in a local church or ministry that is a partner of One27 Ministries. Each person has been interviewed and has demonstrated his or her commitment to the Lord’s work in the country or region.
