Murundi

Day 12: The village of Murundi

Today our team went to the rural eastern part of Rwanda to the village of Murundi.  Wayne began going to this village in 2010 when the church was first planted.  This past year, funds were raised through One27 to help build a primary school and a church building.  We were able to see that the church roof was nearly finished.  The building of the church is a very slow process since this is a remote area and all materials have to be carried by people up a hill.

We also were able to visit the school, on the same plot, which began this year and is only holding P1 (first  grade).    It will begin to add a grade each year.  Presently there are 60 students in the morning and another 60 in the afternoon.

Wayne was able to greet the students and some of the church members who were there working on the church.  He shared with them that God had blessed this area with a new school and church building.  He has done this because He loves them.  He loves them so much that He wants to be with them.  Wayne was able to share the Gospel at this point.
