Scholarship program: Send your child a letter!

As I posted last week, we're sending a team to Rwanda next month.  Part of their focus will be following up on our scholarship program, meeting with the students we currently sponsor, and getting information we need to continue those relationships.

Our scholarship program is so much more than a one-time donation of funds.  We send each donor a card with a particular child's picture and a little bit of information about them, and ask donors to hang those cards somewhere that will remind their family to pray for them on a regular basis.  The families of these students are so thankful, because you have not only touched their child's life, but encouraged their entire family and community. 

We have an opportunity to further connect our donors with those families they are touching- we would like for our donors to send their sponsored children letters this Christmas.  Let those children and their families know that you are praying for them.  You can include something small, such as a photo of your family, but we ask that no gifts be sent with the letters for the sake of fairness and logistics of transporting them.

If you are currently sponsoring a child (for the 2013 or 2014 school year) and would like to send them a letter, please email katy@one27ministries.org for an address that you can send your letter to.  Letters must be received by December 20.
