Wrapping up in Rwanda

We finished our part of the youth conference on Saturday morning. We spent time talking about godly living and having a personal relationship with Christ.

We also taught them the Gospel bead bracelets. While many of these youth are very active in their churches, it is still hard for them to wrap their minds around the concept of being saved on FAITH alone. They really appreciated the clear teaching on the gospel, as well as instruction on how to share it.

At the end of the conference we gave the girls skirts and the boys t-shirts. They were very grateful.

What a blessing to pour into the youth who are the future of this country!

Sunday, the team went to church on a mountaintop in a remote village near Murundi in eastern Rwanda. What a blessing to sing and dance with them. 2 women were saved this morning- Praise God for His children coming to know Him!

The church has been building a school for many years. They took us to see the progress. Once this school is complete, there will be over 2,000 students in attendance. These students are currently unable to reach a school during the rainy season because of flooding.

On Monday, we traveled to visit Pastor Thomas' church in Kabuga. We have partnered with this church for several years. We have seen this church go from a tarp for a roof and a mud floor to what they have today: a metal roof and a floor. Praise The Lord!

We were able to gift the women's group at the church with the money to purchase 2 goats that will help them raise money for women and church members in need. The women could not contain their joy. What a blessing it is to bless!

Pray for us as we begin our journey home tomorrow evening (2pm, Texas time).
