Scholarship Program Launch

Friends, we are beyond excited to let you in on what we've been working on since we got back from Rwanda...

While we were on our trip, we had the opportunity to work closely with the headmaster of a primary school that we partner with and discuss the school's current situation.  As many as 100 students have dropped out of school in the past few months because they are unable to pay their school fees.  The headmaster is very passionate about reaching out to these students who have dropped out (or who are on the verge of dropping out because they have not paid in several months) and helping them come back and complete the 2013 school year.

We gathered info for approximately 50 students whose school fees are currently unpaid.  One27 supporters are already sponsoring 30 children at the school in Remera, leaving about 20 students still to be sponsored.  As our Rwandan contacts work to gather more information on the remaining students, this number is likely to continue to rise.

As summer comes to an end here in America and we get back into "school mode", would you consider the impact that you could have on one of these lives?

The cost to scholarship a student for the remaining part of the 2013 school year is $80.  This covers everything the child needs to finish out the year.  When you sponsor a child, we will send you a card with some basic information about your child as a reminder to be praying for him or her.  If you are interested in partnering with this school through One27, please email katy@one27ministries.org.
