Checking in from Rwanda

We are checking in from Kigali. We are having dinner at Bourbon Cafe and all trying to connect to the Internet to check in with home. (So, home, be looking for emails today!)

We arrived in Rwanda last night (July 4). After all of our delays and travel hiccups, we were that much more excited to have our feet on African soil!

The team seems to be recovering well from jet lag. The night in Belgium probably helped that. 

We hit the ground running today.  Some of the team went and bought supplies for the week while the others stayed back at the Ligue to prepare for the women's conference. 

We began our women's conference this afternoon. The entire team got their first taste of Africa as we all worshipped with the women at the beginning of our afternoon session- lots of singing and dancing.  

After worship, some team members got a tour of the church while Judi and Katy began teaching. We had to adjust our plans a tiny bit, as we were supposed to teach this morning, but due to our late arrival, postponed our first lesson to this afternoon. 

Judi and Katy are leading the women in a study of growing as Christians- focusing on discipleship and Christian living. There are 52 women attending the conference- Praise The Lord!
