T minus 12 days!

We have 9 short-term missionaries leaving in 12 days and today we're asking you to join that team!

That's right- it's not to late to be a part of this trip!!

How, you ask?  PRAYER.
We believe that every believer is called to be intimately involved in missions.  No, not everyone is called to GO.  That's just a small part of it, but EVERY believer is called to SEND.

"For just as the body is one and has many members...
 so it is with Christ.

And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.  If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?

But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
If all were a single member, where would the body be?
As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”  On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable...

But God has so composed the body...
that there may be no division in the body,
but that the members may have the same care for one another.

If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together."
 -1 Cor. 12:12-26 (paraphrased)

As our trip gets closer, we will post a daily prayer schedule of specific things you can be praying for.  In the meantime, we ask you to pray for the following things:

~Health and safety leading up to the trip.  Several of our team members are fighting different health concerns and we pray that God would wipe those completely out before we step foot in the airport.

~The planning and preparing.  As with any mission trip (especially to Africa), we plan and prepare the best we know how, knowing that things may change as soon as we get there.  Pray that our communication with our contacts in Rwanda would be clear, and that we would be prepared for whatever is thrown our way when we arrive.

Leave a comment on this post with your name and where you're from (or even just where you're from, if you want).  When things get tough on the mission field, one of the greatest sources of encouragement is knowing that there are people on their knees, standing in the gap, for you- that you are not alone.
Please share this with your loved ones- How cool for our team to have a list of people praying from all over the place!
