Change a life: It's not that hard // CHALLENGE!

This spring, a local youth group was challenged to skip eating out and instead, donate that money towards One27's scholarship fund.

A big part of our ministry is our scholarship program.  We seek to provide funds for pastors we partner with to send their children to school.  Most pastors are not paid, yet their work is full-time.  We praise the Lord for these men, who have followed God's calling on their lives and are leading their churches and villages in truth.  It is very difficult for them to support their families and these scholarships are life-changing.

By giving up fast food and coffee, the students from Fellowship of Huntsville youth group raised enough money to fund 5 children to go to school.

$200 can send a child to school for a year- that includes tuition, uniform and supplies needed.  ($200 for primary school, $500 for secondary school.)

$100 will provide the funds needed to sponsor a pastor at this summer's training.

Now here's the challenge...
Imagine what could happen if we all did something as simple as giving up sodas and coffee, just for a month?  Every time you eat out, order water and set aside the $2 you would have spent on a soda.  And on top of that, forgo that Happy Hour stop or coffee shop drive-through and set aside that $5, too.  (Some of us could probably sponsor a pastor, or even send a child to school after a month or two!)

Who's willing to join our challenge?
