Orphan Sunday

Today is Orphan Sunday, a day to bring awareness to the 147+ million orphans in our world and to encourage believers to get involved in orphan care. 

Orphan care comes in so many shapes and sizes, but one thing is sure- as Christians, orphan care is something we are all called to.

"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God 

and Father is this: 

to minister to widows and ORPHANS in their distress,

and to keep oneself unstained by the world."

{James 1:27}

As you and your family pray about how you will be involved in caring for the least of these this year, please consider sponsoring one of the children we partner with in Rwanda.  Many of the children we sponsor have lost one or both parents.  Others may have living parents, yet they are still living on the streets raising themselves. 

"I will not leave you as orphans,

I will come to you."
