Meet Gladys. She is part of our One27 family- the daughter of Esron, the pastor we support and work most closely with in Rwanda.
When Gladys was born, there were some complications that have affected her development. Specifically, she is 7 years old and her speech is still very limited.
She has been to many doctors and specialists, and they have now discovered that she is tongue-tied. She will need to have a small procedure done to have the small muscle under her tongue (that is limiting her speech) clipped.
According to Esron, she is (cognitively) testing well at school, but her lack of speech makes it difficult for her to keep up with children her age and has set her back significantly. This procedure could help her development greatly!
Everyone who meets this family falls in love with them. Many
past team members affectionately refer to Esron and his wife Kezia as
their "Rwandan mother and father". Their joy and love for the Lord is
evident in everything they do. We hate to see them worry and struggle over the well-being of their little girl (and our "Rwandan sister").
Gladys' procedure will cost about $500 and we are hoping to help Esron and his family pay for it. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please contact Wayne at: lws1979@gmail.com, or you can send a donation to:

Please pray with us, as procedures that are very common/minimal here in America are often more complicated there. Also pray that this procedure would help Gladys make great strides developmentally. Pray for Esron and Kezia, who are worried about their little girl, as any parent would be.
